Pellets for ducklings?

Lol, too true :) I don't blame them being ducks and all.
We just love having them in the house when they are little and don't mind cleaning up a bit of poo.
Enjoying the time where they are super excited to see and sit with us, before they hit the teenager phase. Then we are the big scary monsters for a while :p

I have 9 females and 2 Runner drakes for my group.
My Muscovy are 1 to 4 and the drake keeps to his own females.

Next spring will be my very first time to have 2 Runner drakes or actually any Mallard derived drakes beside the 1 Runner drake from 2016. They all are doing so well together now, just hope it stays that way.

We got back home very late from our neighbors yesterday and i was too tired to upload the pictures of their ducklings, so here they are:

Sadly the first one hatched did not make it, it was too weak and died. :( But the other five are healthy and cheeky ducklings and their colors do baffle me! I have no idea how those silver gray ducklings came to be. I don't have any silver ducks…
I am sure the one with the black stripe on its bill is a descendent from my "Magpie/Swedish/Shetland" ducks, but who fathered it? Limpy or Erpelchen? No idea! It also has black middle toes!
The two yellow ducklings have (tentatively!) blue eyes, so they could be Runners or White Layers.
Had the jar with the duck on my night stand… Open!

We only have five right now but its going to take another coop and pen to get some more.
With the 2 new babies we have 5 as well. More than we ever expected to have but it happens. Already brainstorming another coop and run, working on duck housing never seems to end :)

I hope so too! Last year was our first with an adult drake and we sure did learn a few things, Stu has been sent to 'time out' on occasion for being a jerk to the girls.
If I remember correctly your ducks get to free range? I would think that would help give everyone the space to get away from each other if needed? Donna has the 3 boys and they seem to get along sometimes but I know she's had to seperate as well. Next spring will be her 1st year with them all grown up, plus I'm sure we will end up with at least one drake from the two babies. We can all swap stories and learn together!

So sorry the one baby didn't make it. The rest are absolutly adorable! You're going to have your hands full and so much duck poop :) I had been curious as to how long they would stay with mama hen and awesome you have them home.
That's part of the fun watching them grow and seeing what they look like as their feathers come in :) The black one is pretty neat since he's so dark with an orange bill.

Nonono! Not my baby ducklings! I have successfully infected long-term chicken owners with the duck-virus! - I bet by the end of next year all their chickens have gone to the freezer and they will have 20 ducks terrorizing them! :plbb
They actually had to take them away from their chicken momma, because she got wind that those weird chicks are no chickens and started pecking at them. Now they're in a brooder inside of the garage.
The "black" duckling is actually not black but dark gray. Has anybody ever seen a completely dark gray duckling before? I have absolutely no clue what color this cutie will have when grown up.

Haha, look at me just trying to push baby ducks on you :lau
That's awesome they get to raise them and you can visit whenever you want.
Poor confused chicken is probably wondering what went so terribly wrong with her eggs :)
Our blue runner was a medium grey color as a duckling but nowhere near as dark as that little one. Even the darker of our 2 is a chocolate brown now but I'm pretty sure will grow up to be black and white. Curious to see and of course they will be beautiful ducks.

Please don't push any ducklings to me!!!
My wife caught me last night sleep-walking in front of my computer… :sick
Searching on aliexpress for incubators! - What did you thought? :D

If you get to the point where you need a 50 pound bag, ask TSC if they can order one for you.
I have the same TSC as @Runner duck mom and I wrote corporate. There is no option to buy online or to have the big bag delivered to our local store so I said I had 20 ducks and my friend did too as well as another person so maybe they will start stocking it. I have no problem bugging them every time I go in.
