I buy crumbles as a starter when they are chicks then go to a mash when a little older.I always thought pellets are too expensive.At a mill I can get a 50 lb. bag of mash for $7.50-$8. That's half the price for the paperbagged feeds.I don't know what they like better because I don't offer the choice.In the winter sometimes I mix it up with hot water or applesauce and they love it.
