Pelvic bones, laying soon????

Around my area farmers sell hay. I wonder if any stores sell straw like Tractor Supply.
Hay may be fine....a lot of folks use it....mine wanted to eat it.
Use whatever is cheapest and easiest.

Like this at tractor supply I just found online.

Hoo Boy that's pricey!!
I got wheat straw for $3/bale from a local farmer couple years ago, probably 40-50 lb bales....
.....about out now, not sure what current prices are.

Maybe I will try hay with pine shavings under it first that will be like $3 or $4 a bale I think

The test of pelvic bone !
Alhamdulillah its nit invasive and they actually dont fuss at all when you do it
So basically the 10 oclock n two pclock posioned bones just below there fent .but mostly its softly fluffy feather around not the large feathers like the tail or wings
Anyhows,so i checked a 19 week old(aftr seing some growth of comb and wattle although its not fully developed but its bright red and about 6 mm high from ots head to tip of the comb .i dont know wether this is significant but the fact of how much its growing over 3 or 4 days ma b significant indicator)
Ok so this hen i checkd was already showing squating behavior and also the spacing was about 2 or 2.5 cn with the 2 fingers fitting very easily in meaning also the side bones ie pelvic bones r also kind if flexible.this method is not torture at all ots very halal alhamdulillah
I did some reading watched few vids but one qas very helpful one article said if the measures almost 3 fingers then its only few days or a week time
So i pra this info is reassuring for farmers backyard ,etc out ther
And helps to keep healthy checks and good hope for good works that you r almost reaching the goal.and so is the hens !maybe?
So i am working as hens good willed nurse but not checking contractions and cervixes lol
