Pen Netting Question

All my pens have welded wire for the tops, breeding pens and my large flight pens. Main reason because of snow and ice, plus no predators going to get in (I HOPE

),But never say never.

Think i have only lost ones hitting the beams,

Ok then, thank you guys. I think I might do wire for the predators, and few inches below, I might suspend some netting for the case he does fly up and hits his head, then there will be some room before he hits the wire.

I still can't believe, that the predators don't chew through the flight netting, even if it is sturdy. If they can chew through chicken wire, then nylon netting should be a piece of cake, no?

The netting provides zero, zilch, nada, protection against predators, except as a deterant to hawks. It is designed ONLY to keep captive birds inside. Also, if you live in an area that gets heavy snow and ice, you are in deep doodoo.

I am putting wire around the perimeter 48 - 60 inches high and then netting on the top. I will also have the electric mesh going around the base of the avery and also the scarecrow sprinkler system to help deter the predators.

Oh, wow, you just saved my peacock, I will now put wire on top instead of netting, cause we have foxes, skunks, raccoons, and coyotes.
