With the upcoming Big Game on their mind, the ducks were playing for keeps with their soup this morning. Amelia claimed she was fouled, and at first we were inclined to throw a flag. But an instant replay review shows it was only her own enthusiasm for soup at play. No penalty was called, and everyone ate their soup!

Great video! I love how they're so excited that they are jumping to try to access the soup before it even hits the ground. And I love the very loud first quack - mine make that same sound too, when they first see me in the distance at the top of the hill, working the frost-free spigot to fill buckets of fresh water for them. I used to think it meant "hey, Mom, get over here!" but in this context it seems to mean more "hey guys, pay attention, treats are coming!" Hilarious!

They do get very excited! It works great for getting them to come in too after free ranging. As soon as they hear that song, they come running!
