Penguin seems sick

I think I will try this today. Penguin is now in better shape than Puffin was at her worst, and Puffin never stopped eating so theoretically Penguin should be capable of eating now. As of this morning Penguin is up and walking around the room with her sister and going around to explore.

It definitely is good for your sanity to skip a feeding. A lot of people forget they need to take care of themselves as well. If you burn out, it is hard to keep them going.

Yeah definitely I've had a hard time taking care of myself. These last few days have felt like months and I've been borderline panic attack the whole time. I really hope she starts eating today, as soon as she is eating by herself I'm gonna move both of them out to the coop. Still keeping them seperate from the other ducks, but I cannot wait to get them out of my house.

Also I just heard from the vet and they got the blood test results back and well.. seems to be a mystery. He said that everything seemed normal and white and red blood cell levels are normal so he is confused by this mystery of what happened. I'll definitely be keeping a close eye on the run area and making posts about anything unusual that I might find.

She is looking great and love to see the greeting Puffin gave her when she got to their room. Have you tried some wet soupy food for her? My ducks including my Muscovy love wet mushy feed. Maybe that would entice her to try and eat on her own?

Yeah I have been trying but she isn't interested. She is quite the picky eater never touches anything she doesn't recognize.

You can also try crumble. Mine seem to love crumble when they are sick.

Okay I can try just running some of their dry food through my food processor to make it into crumble

Well she didn't eat all day, was just getting ready to give her a tube meal before bed but then I saw her hovering over the food bowl and picking up pieces then dropping them. I decided to go grab the bag of mealworms and she immediately started nomming them down. I mixed a bunch of them in with their food. Glad she is eating, definitely will move them out of my house and into the coop tomorrow
