The newest silkie, Tink and Romeos Baby, Romeo is white...
very active and wont dry off, he is blue and dark blue and some gold colors, not sure why the camera wont pic up on the blue.
Crazy neat looking silkie. The patches on his butt that have fluffed up are awesome! face is amazing!

Ugh, I just got done candling and putting the 2 bators in lock down. Out of 20 eggs (7 welsummer and 5 marans) and 8 random eggs, only 3-4 are very obvious candidates. No idea on the rest. I am simultaneously bummed, scared to death and excited. Oh and did I mention this strange feeling of guilt that keeps whispering inside my head "you completely screwed it up you big dummy and you are about to break your daughter's heart". Where is Jose when I need him?

A feed and supply store. Has chicks in now but they sell them at a promotional/informational fun night. I'm so pumped!

Now why do you say you screwed it up? SHipped eggs are horrible. No matter what happens it teaches us lessons and she can gain either way. Just watch you may be pleasantly surprised! your having those doubts we all get EVERY TIME! It is VERY nerve wracking the first few batches! I have never EVER 2nd guessed more in my life and over and over and daily with incubating!
