Lol, basically my PA house is located in the center of the ginormous red dot, and my NJ house is in the middle of the smaller red dot. I didn't want to get too specific since the rules say "don't reveal personal information in the forums". The surrounding areas shaded in red are those that I'm familiar with, and represent the distance that I'd be comfortable driving. The line connecting the two is the route I normally take back and forth, which I'm also familiar with.

I know of a few other chicken enthusiasts down by where you are. Back when I was a member in 2003 I met one almost ontop of the Maryland boarder named Russ Phenice.

Their voices are changing. The crests are huge and gorgeous, but the feathering on the feet and legs is less than what I'd like to see. They will make good pets or even breeders for someone who is needing nice crest size and small comb with good color.

I can't keep them clean in my barn...which really irks me, so I'm going with a different color.

Please let me know if you would like them, I'm asking $20, but the price is flexible.

Not sure what color you are looking for, but I have a cute little splash cockerel available. And I may have a black roo, too.
 
Rodriguezpoutry, I have been looking for whites. They are my favorite color. I forget- were you going to the Green Dragon on Sat.? I live too far away to pick them up otherwise. ( about 15min from collegville.

I've got birds that have GOT to go and nobody up this way is buying. I've got someone that may be purchasing them, but if they're not gone by Saturday, they're yours. Do you want photos of them?
 
I may take you up on this offer. I have a bunch of eggs to hatch this week. If none of those wind up as good cockerels, I may be looking for one! I think the splash would show the grunge too. Why do silkies have to like taking dust baths in dirty shavings?! Do it in the CLEAN ones!

Rodriguez, you are cracking me up! You are coming to Green Dragon, right?? DH has surgery on Friday, I'm counting on him being ok enough for me to leave him and be at the sale. HE thinks he's coming along because he is familiar with my bid phobia and wants to bid for me.

We got the coop moved today! the run is ummmm... done enough. I believe we will have to catch all the chooks and show them where we hid their coop, then keep them in the new run for a week or so so that they are familiar and go back there each time. Just stopped in for some water, no more wine! It's slowing down the works.

Cynazar, I did not know that we weren't supposed to reveal personal information. I've even seen people list their phone numbers. I am glad you've told me this.

Oh, and ya'll have so much prettier silkies than me!! Zookeeper, your Avatar is amazing, and Rodriguez, yours looks like it has a full on FRO!
 
Well, after the scene I caused in the Sheetz yesterday, I feel like I could bid for you!

I would catch all the birds tonight and lock them up for a few days in the new coop...so they get the hang of it. But I'm paranoid and have my birds indoors at all times. No possums getting my preciouses!

I'm giving a tentative YES to the Green Dragon. But seriously, I get lost and someone needs to help me. I have done it before and GPS will make sure I do it again. Refer to the Collegeville incident where I happened to help Blarney get lost!

I actually got the silkies as a "fun" project for me. Langshans are so laid back, regal and somewhat serious. Silkies just stand there and let you do whatever....because they can't do anything about it!
 
Blarney, the not revealing personal info is for our own protection. You never know who may be trolling. Remember the people who have had chickens stolen etc. Having said that, I feel I'm a fairly decent judge of human charachter, and am willing to give genral info. ie: I live in Gardners. Unless you are REALLY familiar with the area, the chances of you happening upon my little homestead....zilch unless you've been invited.
