Today's lock-down for the Easter Hatch-A-Long, so she's been answering lock down questions on that thread, and the diary notes thread all morning.

Well here a question for dog owners...any suggestions for keeping my girl from licking/eating chicken poo? I caught her going to town on a spot on the edge of the brooder....

I have no idea. But I do think you should count yourself lucky that she is not eating broody poo. I do not know a more disgusting and distinct smell. And yes, my Bella considers it a delicacy.

Gotta be honest, I don't like it. I think what u should do is put that puppy on a flatbed and drop it off right behind my barn and let me deal with it!

As I told my husband, if I'm going to have chickens, I'm going to totally commit to having chickens.

I think his reasoning for giving me the "coop" I want is that he thinks he'll be able to use it for his own purposes if I ever tire of chickens. Ha. Tough chance.

Thanks to everyone for your feedback about the windows. I'm also going to make sure the eaves are protected from critters.
