Really simple...you can't go away for 2 days again. There's a bear on the loose. Chicks have hatched. Birthdays are upcoming.

I love bear steaks. And roasted for a while is just WAY too yummy. Hmm...chicks hatching and birthdays coming...Mine is too! In July LOL

Kinda thinking how cute that lil cot quail is that I wanna hatch more of them! Hmmm...them and pheasants. My dad was just saying how the ringnecks used to call from behind the house and now you never hear them anymore.

Today is the day for Wing's brabanter eggs to hatch.

6 eggs were sent to me from FL.

One quit developing last week and formed a blood ring. Threw that one out.

Locked down 5 eggs Sunday although I wasn't completely sure about 1.

There are now 4 chicks running around in the 'bator. One even pipped at the small end and managed to get itself hatched.

Not too bad for shipped eggs. 67%!

I can't tell if there is anything happening with the 5th egg or not. I cannot see a pip and I won't open the lid till tomorrow to make sure the chicks are all fluffed out.
