My boys are pretty good about it. Talon and G were all lovey on this little black serama cockerel, AFTER I had already mentioned that it has to go... G doesn't care, but Talon, he named it after our old black OEGB roo (Dedreckovis, who he also named)... He said, "are we keeping the white one?" "yes" "Well, then his name is White Dedreckovis" LOL. Now, G will say that he doesn't care about which birds I sell, but I remember the one day one of the white roosters disappeared... when I told him, he got really worried for a moment... "CORNFLAKE?!" "No" "Oh, okay". That's his rooster... **** thing won't come near me, but it'll come up and eat out of his hand and follows him around.
My little girl also gets upset when birdies leave but I think the most upset she got and still talks about is when our rooster whent missing. It is one thing to take them and sell them but she is upset she never got to say goodbye! Poor little girl misses her Halloween but I feel like she is learning life lessons! Also now I won't let her name anyone until we know they are staying ugh have 4 birds that I grew out and only want 1 of the 4 but haven't figured out how to convince her that they must go!!
For my name my last name is brown and I used to weave baskets and when I sold them I went under the name little brown basket! And now I have a small bow Bowtique that is Little BROWNie Bowtique, nothing special just a play on my last name! Born in 83, nice to see there are so many on here around the same age!
