My boys are pretty good about it. Talon and G were all lovey on this little black serama cockerel, AFTER I had already mentioned that it has to go... G doesn't care, but Talon, he named it after our old black OEGB roo (Dedreckovis, who he also named)... He said, "are we keeping the white one?" "yes" "Well, then his name is White Dedreckovis" LOL. Now, G will say that he doesn't care about which birds I sell, but I remember the one day one of the white roosters disappeared... when I told him, he got really worried for a moment... "CORNFLAKE?!" "No" "Oh, okay". That's his rooster... **** thing won't come near me, but it'll come up and eat out of his hand and follows him around.

My little girl also gets upset when birdies leave but I think the most upset she got and still talks about is when our rooster whent missing. It is one thing to take them and sell them but she is upset she never got to say goodbye! Poor little girl misses her Halloween but I feel like she is learning life lessons! Also now I won't let her name anyone until we know they are staying ugh have 4 birds that I grew out and only want 1 of the 4 but haven't figured out how to convince her that they must go!!

For my name my last name is brown and I used to weave baskets and when I sold them I went under the name little brown basket! And now I have a small bow Bowtique that is Little BROWNie Bowtique, nothing special just a play on my last name! Born in 83, nice to see there are so many on here around the same age!

Amazing!!, oh, and I didn't notice you posting a birth year...does the screen name say it all?
Send her along!
BWAHAHAHA!
My mom named me after the ex boyfriend she was madly in love with. My names Michelle, and if I'd have been a boy, it would have been Michael. Pretty sure my dad never knew that, LOL! They lasted 1 year or so.......surprising, huh? Oh, please tell her they're going to a good home, with 4 kids that are soo.. excited to get them. By the way, ALL of my kids do that when I sell any bird, and my response is always "When was the last time you even looked at it?" They just LOVE them for the first week, and then could care less, LOL!
Nope, no book to pull or twist to open the door, I just throw my big ole hip at it, an it lets me past. Wing, if I posted pics, it wouldn't be a secret anymore, would it?

All:

Need some suggestions....I have begun letting the girls wander the backyard....well they've decided that my deck/patio is their fav for taking mid-day naps.....I really wouldn't mind if they wouldn't poo all over....it just encourages one of my pooches to eat away....(she'll eat anything/everything)

My grown 20 something child, who by the way, I do not think will ever move out....just stomped her feet across the kitchen floor when I told her the little duckies are going to their new home tomorrow......all i can say is WOW....
Sounds a lot better than my sister with her cats/dogs (that she doesn't take care of). Our parents say "So and so needs to find a new home, you don't take care of her." Then she's all over the care, for a week or two, and by then my parents have relented for the time being...guess who's been taking care of "her" ducks

I don't know if chickens can have spicy peppers. I know the food additive for cats and dogs, to stop poo eating, has capsaisin in it.

Umm...Wellies can be sexed by looking at their heads. Sharp V and sharp eyeliner=girl. Smudge on the head and smudgy eyliner=boy.
WooHoo...you'll have to let us know what you get!
Yeah, you'll be dangerous at the get together...and we're all enablers...so we'll help you along.

Yes missy, I knew that goin in then he gave me one without much if anything on her head and asked him to check. That's when he did the needle trick. Keeping my fingers crossed!

I know the needle/wedding ring sexing for human pregnancies was spot on with everyone I know that tried it, including myself (so far, according to it I've got 6 more pregnancies to go). I have never tried it on an animal, I may try it on animals I know the sex of first to see how accurate it is.
