The only major problem I have found with a .22LR semi automatic is running out of ammo. My wife has a .22LR semi automatic rifle. I got a 30 round clip for it. You can unload the clip quicker than you think. Extremely fun.my middle daughter is now a proud gun owner, she bought this today at cabela's

He's lovely. Now I want blue ones. His brother is doing well.
Get her some chicks, she won't even notice the new puppy.
Congrats on the great hatch! She should do good as long as she is able to cover them all for the first couple of weeks if the nights get cold, and she has a nice, draft free spot to nest. She'll be a busy girl keeping track of all of them! Should be some great picture ops!Hey guys i know there is a few hatching people here so I figured I'd ask. One of my Large fowl cochin hens went broody so I found 13 eggs of various breeds I have been drooling over to put under her. Twelve out of 13 hatched. Have never had that great of a shipped hatch rate! Anyway is that to many chicks for her to mother? She seems to be covering them just fine. She is just beside herself having all those little ones. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks! Kristen. Oh and ps I will take pictures later today![]()
They are so cute!I really need to stay off of here when my son's home. He's now obsessed with the idea of us hatching some. He doesn't want to allow the hens to hatch them, so they imprint on us. He has it "all" planned out...I told him I'll think about it and we need to be sure we have some roosters before we can even worry about it. "But Mom Roo's a rooster!" Next step is to explain breeds and why we can't just let them "have at it," this is gonna be fun....![]()

Our new babies
the dark one is chocolate and copper colored. The red is our (prior) runt, Peanut. They were having issues figuring out the feed and water, so I put Peanut in to show them the ropes and they picked up on it pretty fast after he(?) showed them what to do.![]()
Glad you clarified! I was a bit surprised you were planning to put the birds under the firewood!A bock from my nephews house! argh! I might have to stop by sometime and see what they have. It's too close to pass up! Good for putting under my firewood if nothing else.
Oops! Wrong post to quotes that was to be about the skids!
got my first egg today from the new year's hatch,,,a perfect little egg, now to figure out who...
Beautiful looking girls! Glad they are doing so well for you!
Hope she comes back to his calling! Has to be frustrating!I'm SOOO TICKED right now!!! I had a customer here picking up chicks & instead of running birds in himself JJ sends the kids to do it. They let 1 of my brand new Slate hens out & now she's nowhere to be found. I just got her Wed so there goes $40 down the drain if we don't find her real fast. For JJ's sake, pray she returns & puts herself in the run by morning. He locked the tom & other hen in the coop but left the run door open in hopes the tom would call her back in.
Quote: Trying to find is a bugger too, ammo for all handguns has become a real pain, at least around here.
