I have 1 LF Partridge Wyandotte that needs a new home. I ordered some SLW eggs from a breeder, and only one egg hatched. It was the wrong color!!!! Its a pullet. She is very cute!

Blarney, I was just joking, so all i can say is WOW......i am really rethinking this goat thing,,,,now sure i want to spend the time to keep them in pens...

Silkie, need to talk about those purple eggs your neighbor has,,,,what breeds are they from and any other info you got,,,how many purple would be in an order,,could they be mixed with some OE eggs,,,i also need to replace some of my older egg layers,,,I like to keep about 10 of the red comets that TSC sells,,,,i did not get any this year from them and mine are aging.......let me know what's available to go with those purple eggs, i will get back to you over the weekend..

The breed list is in my ad hon. There may be a few more breeds mixed in that she has forgotten. We are thinking the purple layers are the cuckoo marans crosses because the purple tends to be on the darker eggs more than on the lighter ones. Her eggs have lightened up a lot over the past month or so & the purple is getting really hard to see because of it, but she was getting 2-3 purple eggs per day. Now I just kinda have to look really close to see if there is any hint of the purple at all. They should still throw the purple, but it will be impossible to know who until they begin to lay.

any one wanna give me some advice on how to treat? Called the vet, waiting for a call back, they might be able to lance it open and clean it for me. But if it something i can do easily my self to save $$ please let me know.

Well, I went outside and hear chick screams so I went to investigate. I checked the big brooder first qnd everyone seemed cqlm, cozy and fine. Went to checke the Ameraucanas. Yep, they are the vent peckers. Two were pecked, so I pulled them out and blu-koted. I am going to pull the pullets out and cull the cockerels. -sigh- hopefully that will end this.

Anyone need OEs or Ameraucana cockerels?

Are the OEs both or only cockerels? Wish I could help you with cockerels but I think I'm pushing my roo to hen ratio as it is, once the processing is done.

Is anyone looking to rehome/sell some pullets/hens that are laying or close to laying age? I should say: anyone 1.5 hrs, or less, away and willing to meet somewhere in between if over an hr. Please pm me if you are and how much you would like for them. I bought some free range eggs at the farmers market, and now Gavin refuses to eat "plain" eggs. They just cost too **** much for me to keep buying them until ours are ready, or I'd just wait it out. (Yes, I know he's a spoiled...
