She's at Landis Valley Museum Herb Fest this weekend...so don't expect a reply till Sunday.

I have so many wonderful memories of the drive-in w/ family. My brother & I would lay on the roof of the car, it was a Concord, little silver thing, perfect for the two of us and a blanket!! I think that was the one & only time my mother got to sleep...hahaah .. She would back 2 lite bottles of soda & all kinds of food!..

Where have all the Drive-ins gone?! It's too bad, along w/ other "family" activities...they just seem to disappear. Roller Skating was another biggie for us!

Harr's in Dillsburg is still open as is Cumberland Valley in Carlisle.

that's great, I have family in both areas. Will have to write that down & keep it in mind! There was one up here,well, near Williamsport.."The Port" drive-in, I think they have shut that one down though

. We never got to go to it...shame. Now I'm in the mood to see a movie, outside..

Man, this storm system is coming in Mad! Even the chickens put themselves to bed early...

I can never tell how bad the weather is going to be here - sometimes it hits us other times it gets to the Bald eagle state forrest behind us and fizzles out ... oh the joys of living in a valley!

Yep, beaglady is at landis valley,,,seen her, talked to her, and bought those mushroom logs.......also bought some really good honey, i am not a patient person, i tasted it on the way home.....yummy !!!...had lots of fun just walking around the grounds,,,places like landis valley shows how different life used to be.......much simpler life...

I really hope all this works out for you. I am right with you with my sperm donor. Now that he's in jail for another 5-10yrs, it does make my life easier. Sadly, his parents still take Devon to go see him. Like that's a place to take a kid... A kid he's already said he didn't care about and didn't want. A kid he now only has time for when he gets a new girlfriend (it's like he shows off with him and then discards Devon once he has the girl's interest).

Your TTs look so cool, I think ours are going to be plain white. I really hope Devon catches on. They're both such nice kids, Gavin asked when he could play with them again....I told him we'd figure something out.

It's Gavin's second favorite part of summer, his first is fishing. We're lucky the one we go to hasn't closed (yet), I know the owner even kept it open while going through chemo. They even have a weeknight during the summer where kids under 12 get in free. My favorite thing when I was younger was taking a radio and watching whatever screen I wanted while my younger siblings watched something else. The one time we had a radio, a walkman and the car each set to a different channel.

Now they have a outdoor grill on the weekends in the summer, mmmm steak and a movie on a clear night. I love it. One of our local roller rinks did close

. Although there is another one, I don't like Gavin going there, it had a rep for being the place to go for speed when I was in school.

...The rink I went to is still in business. It also has a golf course, it is very popular in Lac. Co- , along w/ soccer & field hockey. they also have alot of "clubs"..pinkies up ...hahaha
