Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

I just hatched about 23 keets, 3 runners & 7 pekins. Scovies, calls & mixed goslings due this weekend. A ton of poults, more scovies, a couple welshies, more calls, & a couple pekins all due before the 19th. I just swapped 40+ runners for who knows how many bob whites & Coturnix eggs. I have turken crosses on the way too. Oh, and more Anconas from Sara. Now where is Sally with those instructions on cabinet bator building.

What do you think of the orpington breed? My friend was telling me her neighbor has them and they are very sweet. I'm ready for sweet chcikens. Are they good layers?
I have 4, they are 1 of the top laying breed I believed from what I have read on them, Up there with RIR laying, I have Speckled Sussex, now they are sweet birds!! My one girl.. awe.. i just get lost talking to her and petting her.. so pretty :D

Ha! So my family found bluejay fledglings and put them in a box because they thought they fell from the nest. Big mistake, now the parents are attacking everyone in our yard, even after we gave them the babies back. Had to crawl under the trampoline to get this pic.

Love the pic! Wild bird mamas are even worse than chicken broodies! They can be psychotic!

Barbie, they are awesome chickens! They lay pretty well, and they make great mothers. Extra roos can go to the table. I have some in my 2 in my layer flock, and I have some English b/b/s in the grow out pen. They are great!!!!
