A.. I'm always here to help you out....LOL And Celtic Fling after orange juice was probably indeed not the best plan! As to the log pieces I need, I'm going to use a piece of wood as my cake plate, so it needs to be like 18 inches across/around? And prolly what 2-3 inches thick? And then one of a smaller diameter, but about 6-9 inches tall...big enough around to hold up the piece on top of it and a 3 tier cake.
OKay. Ole Chaddy boy will get on it.

Is summer just the greatest thing ever?? I believe it is. Still no goat babies.

The littles. And yes. the child on the left is a boy. He's going through that, 'I'm not cutting my hair stage'. DH is freaking, I'm like: 'whatever". When things heat up in the next few weeks, I believe we'll be hitting the barber. And if not, I'll get him a hair band.

Evening everyone,
Been a hot and busy day!! Sorry to hear of so many family members being ill, I really hope they recover soon. The medical "industry" as a whole needs an over-haul, unfortunately, until then we/our loved ones are the ones to suffer the inadequacies. Roses... I am sorry you may have to make a heart breaking decision

I have prepared the bator and myself to enter into the unknown of egg hatching. I have printed out Sally's-(Thank you ) 45 page "guide" to keep by the bator for "quick" answers..(thank you MotherHen for the idea!

.....Not nervous, just very excited!! This opportunity has only been made possible by some extremely awesome people!! I hope I can thank them by having a great hatch

LOL the 3 oldest are going through the same thing. They look like mop-tops. The 3 yo asked his mother to clip his hair, he likes it high and tight! LOL

Glad you're going to have the chance to experience tiny babies!

I am pretty sure they feed and water, and spot clean cages.  Usually bantam ducks, and larger LF chickens are the ones that need cleaned out.

Well that's good to know. I can understand the ducks but my silkies shouldn't get too dirty, too fast.

Do you know anyone else that is showing at the lebanon fair? You could take turns with that person. Did you show at the York Fair last year? What did you show? i walked through the poultry barn last year and there was I believe two rows of chickens.

I didn't show at the York fair I missed the dead line, but I plan on showing this year. I showed at the farm show, I took couple silkies and black copper marans. This year I plan on only showing the silkies since I lost my bcm rooster to frostbite in feb. I got some true araucana that I plan on showing next year, they are too young right now. I don't really know anyone from that area. :(

Heather's from that area, so is Galgo, Chad, Sally's not too far, Wing isn't either, but she might get lost getting there....Chiques Chicks is right in that general vicinity and so is Ray too I believe...

I haven't used a cane pole in over a decade. That is so awesome! as far as the hair...I can't say much Gavin loves his high and tight. Says it makes him look like his Dad (the fiance).

I think I will head on over to ebay, that always makes me feel better...need to escape relatives that all of a sudden think they should be around
I have eggs if you need duckies or quail.

I think they all go through that. I think my youngest daughter's hair is shorter right now than my oldest son's.

Any pictures from the get together this weekend?

I want the hubby to start working on my coop soon. I know what I want the outside to look like but what are some must haves for the inside? The one we have now has a small window, an opening on the back to get the eggs and the bottom pulls out for easy cleaning. The perch we put in is too high and the birds hardly use it. Should I put it on the same side as the nest boxes or the opposite side? I've read about putting a ledge underneath to catch droppings and makes for easy clean up. If anyone has any inside pictures of their coops or things they love or hate about it please let me know!

Here is our coop before the addition. I want the same simple set up for the new one......just bigger.
