Banana is still looking for his forever home

You can't know how much I want him. I just can't see having another dog. Sturgis rides the motorcycle, but there are times (like the picnic) when I can't find anyone to watch him while I am gone... PM me if you are desperate. I will think on it. Out of curiosity, how is he doing with house breaking?

X 2 I just got DH's aunt in a nursing home after 3 plus years of her passing out, having a heart attack and stroke, MRSA (I had to give the IV at home) Thyroid issues... It was one thing after another. It is the reason I am losing the other house. I know the struggles, and I am sorry.

Can i ask another question or have i reached my quota for the week?

My Isbar chick that hatched last (about 2 days after the others) is still SO small. He has been out for about 32 hours. He is up eatting and drinking, but I have him in the house by himself with 2 stuffed animals. I tried to put him with the others but he just isn't as steady on his feet as the others and they knock him over. i am worried about him getting stepped on. Can i keep him inside for a nother day or so till he can run around a little better to get out of there way? The silkie hen is fine with me adding him in there. He snuggled right up next to her, but then she went down the ramp with the other chicks to go outside and the poor little guy rolled the whole way down the ramp and laid there on his back I felt so bad for him so i brought him back in. Does he just need m ore exercise to get his legs stronger? or should i just keep him in for a little till he can run around? He is VERY loud.... even with 2 stuffed animals to snuggle with. I will try a mirror...

IMO, get him pumped up in the house during the day. If you get up early enough, you can put him with the broody at night, and go get him in the morning. I think I would keep him in a washcloth in a shirt pocket.

I have gotten all the messages about barley,,,,we will bag it this weekend and let you know what is left....(I got galgo, chad, beaglady i think)...straw has also been baled,,i know people are waiting on this also....sorry things are taking so long but life keeps getting in the way. Wheat will be mid july..will not know price until harvest..

If possible i need to get some sleep

thanks for all the well wishes,,,always knew this day would come, it is at the point of telling a grown man that he is not capable of living in the house he grew up in....at the same time I understand he does not want to go anywhere else.....some very tough decisions coming up. he will be fine this time he just stood up to fast and passed out, just happened to hit the noggin on the way down,,,,could of been alot worse.

and should you try putting that on your broiler?

I think i am just going nuts... I never know how much to give of medication either.. If my little guy makes it through what I am about to do tonight, and shows no improvement, I will be calling the Vet next!

He is doing great now that we "learned" him. He would sneak upstairs and pee or poop right in front of the toilet!!! After 2 days of catching onto his movements we would catch him before he would do anything. Since then, he walks to door and asks to go out. Super smart and quick to learn cues.

Hmm, I might have to head over there then.

And I just got the Sulfadimethoxine as per suggestion, and it says only broilers or replacement chickens. What in the world is a replacement chicken?

Okay, this is One of the reasons why I have been AWOL....warning..will be pic heavy!!!

please excuse the boxes in the back- round...still getting the Office/library/craft/hatching/brood room setup!!!

Aren't they beautiful??!! One BIG question...How in the He** am I supposed to 'candle" these dark things??!! Hubby and I managed..OKAY....Will be getting a scale!! Oh yeah, I am still married!!.

..Not kicked out or anything!!! hahaha...what a softy!!!!

Andddd... I got the meal worm farm going!!!

The bator is holding steady @ 102.(still-air)... and the humidity is 50-51%. I am also turning 3x's. Since the picture, I have added 'no-slip' matting to the wire bottom...the eggs wanted to roll more than needed

.... So...how long do I have to wait?????

102F Is just a tad bit high though not quite a danger yet. Temps tend to flux by at least a degree between day & night in a styro bator unless they are in a room with an absolutely stable temperature. Your goal temp should be about 100.5F. This will allow you 1 degree leeway on either side for cushion.
