She was $45, which was more than I wanted to pay. I was after bottle babies & they kept selling them all with the mothers instead of separating them. I was getting ticked so just grabbed the next doe that came out so I could leave. JJ & the kids were on my last nerve. Next time they all stay home & I go alone!!!
Yep, men like junk. I'm still moving in with you...LOL

Meet Pepper

Mt Hope, OH...2 hours from me further northwest. Starts at 11:00am on Wednesdays.

With his acting like a jerk, being unemployed, making idiotic accusations, etc. she & the kids are most likely better off without him. Help her get on her feet & send her & them to a new home of their own (even if it's gov't assisted housing so she can afford it). You need your space too & it's always difficult to combine households. I'm not mean, just practical. I've tried living with my parents as an adult with kids of my own (kids are still at home so haven't had any return with their kids yet) & it was a disaster. I no longer even speak to said set of parents due to all of the crap they pulled while I was there. Not saying you can't get along, it's just hard on everyone involved.
oh, thats to far for us unless we spend the night, we usually go to the exotic sale twice a year tho, we get up around 4 and leave, usually get there around 8, we do stop at mcdonalds on the way for a biscuit , one of these days i want to go for both friday and sat.

Quote: I do the swap meet 3 times a year (next 1 is July 19-20th) & hit the auctions every few months when I want something. I haven't bothered with the exotics sale because everything goes way high priced & as a seller the commission & fees are outrageous. I don't even like to take anything to the weekly auction to sell. You have no control over prices & still have fees plus it takes a week to get your money. I like the swaps. That way I get what I want out of my stuff & it's up to me if I want to cut someone a deal or not.

yes, the fees are getting really bad and with all the rules any more, its not worth it most of the time, but i do take some hookbills out that i want to sell , i advertise on craigs list and pennswood but again no one wants to pay anything so i take them out there, i lose but i also come out ahead cause i don't have to feed them. right now i have a bunch of english keets i need to sell so i probably will take them out to the exotic, i need to sell out period i guess but its hard to give up something you love

Hello all! The new baby goat looks awesome..................I cant believe you can buy a goat for $45? I know nothing about raising goats etc...............this is all new.....I just find the whole thing fascinating!

I am happy to report I have taken a reciprocating saw to the dresser and taken out the inner wall, built an exit , and a sliding door for that exit.
I also have made 2 sliding floor boards for cleaning purposes..............and a sort of ladder for entering nest box and roost.

I am now rehydrating...........having lunch and then an afternoon of painting!

this coop and run building is hard work!

that's my update------

Maybe I will have some pictures later---------------my carpentry skills are very lacking -------yet I am still rather happy with my progress.............it seems like it will work

All this talk about livestock auctions but I guess I am a little uninformed. Does anyone know if and where there is an auction in the Westmoreland County area? I would love to check one out. Thanks.
i don't know any in westmoreland, there might be but usually we go down to eighty-four auction off 70 on mondays , thats only about 45 minutes for us.
you can always go to auctions in pa to see if anything

Ok... So HUGE PROBLEM...

With in the last month birds have been going MIA.

The first to disappear was the male Candian Goose (wild)... It had a 'wife' and 5 kids.. and it went MIA in the middle of the night with only feathers left behind! Nothing else!

The next one was my one Muscovy female... it just poofed with NOTHING left behind.... no blood, parts, feathers!

And the last one, so far!, my male Rouen.. up and gone!

Today my Dad noticed that where we buried our coonhound something dug it up and started eating it!!  Prints around it.. They are coyote!!!! WTH. Nasty ************

And now... how to go about making that magey mutt go visit the devil!!! I am on edge now. I can't wait for the pen to be finished!!!

I'd suggest hunting them down....they are not an easy critter bag though...most experienced hunters would like the challenge....my two cents...
