I raise sheep and have wanted one for sometime now to do my own fecal test for the heamanocus contortus (sic) worm, commonly known as barberpole worm. They are vicious in the Southeast and the only successful strategy for them is to breed weak worms. If you try to eradicate them with chemical wormers you only breed stronger worms. There is some evidence that using garlic as a wormer will kill them without building resistance. But it requires being able to monitor by doing fecals.I would be interested, my son would live that.. By the way if you are wondering what the (sic) means following the Latin name for barberpole worm: It means that you believe that you have misspelled something but at the moment don't have the resources to check it out. Almost never used in these days of spell check and the internet but handy to know if you ever are researching in old books. And yes I could look it up but I am ADD and that could send me on a tangent that I might not finish this post for 2 hours.
