That looks awesome! I'm so excited for all the different colors!
Yeah I can't wait till ours start laying there 17 weeks today so I think we have a bit of a wait! Just put 30 eggs (backyard mix and Easter eggers) so well see how many hatch hopefully this spring everybody will be laying we go through eggs like you wouldn't believe having a family of 7. And my first batch I got 2 speckled Sussex pullets and then I got 8 chicks orpingtons and 1 barred rock (not sure how that one got in there lol) lost 1 chick then lost 3 more chickens to dog, fox and hawk so now were left with 7 and 3 of them are Roos ugg I need pullets
Crossing my fingers you have a great hatch and a majority of pullets!

I'd offer you some of mine, but I'm pushing the male to female ratio that I want to have (once the extra boys go to "camp"). Most of our flock is 18 weeks this week, but we have production leghorns which I read can lay as early as 16 weeks. I'm guessing it was one of those girls, given the color and their age.

Gavin was so funny while eating it, he's sitting here "Mmmmm!! Momma this is the BEST egg EVER!!" I didn't season it at all, just a tad of spray to keep it from sticking. His reaction to the yolk color was funny too, "Why is it so dark and why isn't it fertile?!?" it was the wonderful deep orange I was hoping they'd be. Explaining the color was so much easier than why it wasn't fertile....

Yeah fresh eggs are so much better! Glad he enjoyed it. Yeah two of our boys will be heading to camp freezer lol their starting to get nasty towards the hens so I will let them fatten up another couple weeks and im sure once the girls and boys start getting to that age they will become even more aggressive

Going to the fair tonight to watch my cousin show her hogs and of course browse through the chickens :)
I hope your cousin does well! We are going to Montgomery County's fair tomorrow night, I want to see the dairy goats, some showmanship, and of course....chickens!
