Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

since I will be in penn state next week, does anyone from that area have anything for sale that needs transport south, or vice versa..

I rake out my runs when they get nasty, then I put down lime (to help keep the flies down) and DE for smell, to keep it dry, and any bugs it may combat.

Quote: won't be able to get there for at least the next 2 weeks,,,but would be interested after that on any bantam cochin,,,eggs or chicks..... we have a pen of serama (hubby's birds ) for some reason my older egg customers like the smaller eggs...so we decided to go with a second breed of bantam and the cochin won

Good news bad news....the 5th of my six big girls laid her first egg today....the bad new is that it was in a wild raspberry thicket...took me a 1/2 hour to track her down...geez....on a side note both my dorks are laying but the egg shell arn't holding up....I do have oyster available....not sure what to do if anything......

My ducks make a muddy mess too. It's the tiny gnats that they draw that drive me mad. The ducks eat the flies so they aren't as bad.

Yeah i thought betweeen the ducks and Chickens they would clean up the flies. But nope, not mine! I think we might end up cleaning and hosing it out every other day, I am just worried about fly strike
