Beautiful box of eggs!

Congrats on the adorable pups, Britany..
welcome to the new folks and welcome back to those returning from breaks!

Just hibernating here in the winter wonderland known as northern Indiana County... had some surgery Friday so under doctor's orders to not do anything for 2 weeks... guess it's as good a time as any to have to stay in. For those traveling for work and shopping please take it easy... stay safe!
Hope you are feeling better soon!!

Thank you all for the well wishes.... the worst is over, so now just to get through the 6 to 8 weeks off of work for recovery time. At least I should have lots of time to get my holiday cookies made this year! LOL
Guess there is a silver lining to about any clouds!

Sending you healing vibes! I agree with Stake, good novel and some vino!

Congrats on the egg AND your beautiful pups…when did they come?
I would put golf balls in your nest boxes, and keep your girls in for a day or 2 till they get in the habit of laying in the nest boxes.

Oh yeah, I'd be mad. Are those your turkeys in your Avatar? they're gorgeous.
I'll put golf balls in today!! Thanks for the advice. Since the seem to lay in the morning I'm going to leave them in there until this afternoon. Those are not my turkeys...I wish! :)

The Puppies came on thursday evening! Everyone is still doing great and growing....

So I have a question...I have 3 nesting boxes and my girls wont lay in them....I found one in the run, one was balanced on their roost and another was on the floor of the coop. How do it get them to go in their boxes!!! I do have golf balls in their boxes thinking they would get the hint.

maybe its my crazy girls, but I suspect that if they can't get into the box they desire (because its being used), they just lay where they are waiting....

I have 7 hens and 4 nest boxes and they all use the same 2 nest boxes. The golf balls should work. Nest eggs are used to get the hens to lay in the nests. I have seen white ceramic door knobs used as nest eggs. Other than nest eggs I have no idea how to convince the hens to use the nest boxes.
