FLEAS ticks and BUGS lol I ran into this, now read it carefully.... I had not known this has a 30 residual effect! this is a good all around animal product for those of us who choose to do preventatives. and the price? well ONE QUART makes 25 gallons... just sayin! I may switch to this from the powder... thought I would share!

would you spray something like this in the coop? or is it only for on the birds? or both? ...oh, for crying out loud..never mind...just read the applications..DUH!

..sorry. Looks like a good deal though....

I know its early but I was wondering if anyone will be hatching Marans, Welsummers, or Olive Egger chicks in or around March. I am interested in getting a couple of each breed but not until March. I can order from a hatchery but would prefer to get some from someone local. I'm in Snow Shoe, but I will travel up to an hour. Thanks!!
I am sure I can hatch some of chads Marans for you, just let me know a month ahead of time so I can get with him and get them hatched. He should be NPIP too by then

Feed additive combinations - the key to fully unlocking healthy poultry potential?

a webinar

Attendees of this educational presentation will learn the key to unlocking benefits beyond performance growth and the role combined feed additives play in supporting poultry gut health.

Who Should Attend: poultry nutritionists, veterinarians, production managers, purchasing directors, commercial directors in poultry integration and feed mill companies world-wide.

What You'll Learn:
1. The trade-off between absorptive and protective functions of a bird’s gut, and the role that nutrition has to play in supporting both these functions.
2. The direct and indirect impact of infectious disease on nutritional status
3. How feed additives such as enzymes and probiotics, in single applications and in combination, can radically improve healthy performance in both challenged and unchallenged circumstances.

Please note the time for this webinar is
Thu, Jan 16, 2014 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM CST

This webinar is sponsored by DuPont and presented by WATT Global Media.

Quote: never ate beets until a few years ago,,,family made red beet eggs but was just with the juice growing up,,,,and most of the time they made mustard type eggs and still do...will be looking for recipe when harvest time comes..

Wing,

We like Lutz Green Leaf for beets. They get big without getting woody, and we like to eat the greens too. You're welcome to my recipe for picked beets. It's pretty sweet. You've canned before, haven't you?
canned yes,,,not real happy about doing it but will do it...I have a brand new pressure canner and never used it, it has been here for 4 years...

will be looking for that recipe during harvest also.

Good after noon:

Sent my roo back outside today...he's only about 80% there; but, I thought he'd be happier with the girls...(and he was) he covered three within a 1/2 hour,,,,of course the marans decided to peck at his comb a bit... I'll blue coat it this evening....there was quite a bit of chicken chatting going on....

Found out the chooks have trained me like a rooster....I am constantly looking up for hawks....go figure....great day to be outside!

Wing,

The recipe I'll share is one where you can them already pickled, ready to eat. They have vinegar in them so you can waterbath them. Beets that aren't pickled need to be pressure canned. If you bought your canner new, the book that came with it should tell you the recommended processing times for beets and most other commonly canned foods.
