Howdy Neighbor! I am actually based in the western part of Lycoming County but go anywhere in the yellow. Well, also the bits of Berwick School District and Keystone Central that cross county lines. So if anyone needs poultry relayed, let me know.

My poor pup tore her nail out so I am waiting to hear from the vet on when we are picking her back up. Figures it couldn't be a nice simple thing. No, they have to sedate her to clean it up. This in addition to her lymes. she's such a sweety, also.
Sorry to hear your pup is hurting... vet should have her feeling better in no time. She may get a Novox or two to keep her comfortable for a few days, but depends on the vet and how extensive the repair had to be. I'm sure you will give her some pampering when she gets home!

Edit to correct spell check... have I mentioned how much I dislike that auto correct??!!

I don't think my chickens want to come out to play today...

Yup, we're right in the middle of that.

Seems like no matter how many tarps I put out there, I can not keep the snow out of my runs! Arrrrgh. I tried to move as much clutter as I could from the yard and stack it up next to the runs to keep the winds down. Can't believe it's only day one of three of this nonsense. I may run out of wine.

Ok,,,well I find this just plain sad...
I picked up a few new egg customers at work,,,they have reported back that their kids(ages from 8 to 14) will not eat the eggs...these kids believe that because the color is so dark it must be an old uneatable egg.....

sorry but that is just sad to think that the younger generation can even believe that...

I was told by one of them that her daughter threw away all the eggs that were not white, she said they must of gotten dirty to change the color like that (these were mostly tan eggs)

I don't get this either, but I find its not just kids... my parents wont go near brown eggs either. I suggest the documentary Fresh, let them watch that, and see if it changes their mind.

I use to be groused out by stepping in chicken poop and now i just brush it out with my hand when it is in my egg boxes. plus i step in in sometimes on purpose
