Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

I saw that, but its my weekend to work and there its a big sports event, I think. Ian sure it won't be easy to find someone to work for me. Darn work, why can't I be rich, or good looking?

Haha! I get what you mean about 2nd shift. I worked it for years, and my body doesn't want to be day shift ever!!!!!

As for rabbits for meat production, try researching: Champagne D'Argent It is a big meaty bunny. I do know someone who breeds those. I am about chicken and rabbit math!!!

All the chicken coops in the planning stages, and I know most are aware of the Pallet coops idea (if not its in my siggy) but out of all the coops I have so far, including the pallets, dog house conversions etc. I love the shed conversion the best. and YES we did use pallets again! For those of u who may not be aware, the more coop space the better and most shed sales places have USED CHEAP sheds and you can make a deal and have it delivered to you and a simple conversion makes that floor space readily available. I like having everyone in one spot, I can have my feed cans and my bales of shavings and stuff all in the shed. AND I CAN DO SO WITHOUT STEPPING A FOOT IN ANY CHICKEN poop/areas! I can reach eggs easily, feed and water and open the run doors with the slide strings. I did take a crappy video of our old shed conversion, I dont think it was finished in this video and I dont know how to take videos obviously but you get the idea. If you need pics at some point I can get some, but its pretty basic and we used cheap wire and cheap 2x3s. Shed = FREE! it was here lol We did get a USED newer shed from Myerstown sheds with deliver for the 14x12 shed total was 400. bucks! you cant build a little coop with that sorta cash! Its worth some thought. If I had room on the other side of the shed I would have put smaller upper lower coops just for tiny birds and runs out the other side. But I dont think the neighbor in the log cabin would like me too much if they were facing that way!
How inspiring!! And Sally, I was certain that puppy post was going to get a 'Ack de gut' (sp?) outta you, I'm sure you were thinking it! @Ray, sounds like Wing needs to meet us at the Dragon some Friday and bring you back bunnies! There were a WHOLE lot of em there. Ginormous bunnies going for $25+ and cute lil babies going for $2, we also saw meat chicks in groups of 50 go for 10 cents a piece quite a few times! I'm not sure who is hatching meat chicks this time of year! but I feel bad for them getting only 10 cents for them. There were dairy cow bulls that went for 10 and 12 dollars. Really had a great time.

I'm looking for rabbits! Three maybe four, one Buck, two doe, maybe three. Californian or new Zealand, if possible. I can't make it to the dragon or roots because I work evenings. Anyone know any breeders? It would be nice of I didn't have to travel far from 17552.

Hi. I know someone near pa/MD line. If you pm me your info I can have her give you a call.

Well, put up an ad on Pennswoods.net last night under the livestock section to sell some of the birds.... most are hens and roosters under a year old, though I did include the trio I told Sally about a few days ago (that young fellow never contacted me if he was interested, I figured he wasn't looking for mutts

)
I have Black Giants, Silver Pencil Rocks, Buckeye Roosters, and barnyard mix hens and roosters...

Anyone interested in some nice young birds check it out. I have 2 more hens in broody mode, so need the space!

Why in the heck are all of my hens going broody over the winter???? Geesh!!!!

Well, Belles Springs on-line inventory of "bargain" barns didn't impress me with the "deals". Any other shed stores besides the big box stores?  Dang, I really need a truck first.

Keep an eye on craigslist. Shreds and coops show up pretty often.
There are companies that will move a shed for a reasonable fee. Some towering companies will move them on their rollbacks if you ask. Might cost $100, though.

Yeah, I've seen alot too, the only problem is by the time they are listed they are not in good shape....and the moving company didn't want the liabilities of having it fall apart....my two cents....
