Thank you, my husband is working in Texas and loves to call me every night and tell me how warm it is down there. It's cold here but the snow does look pretty.

My DH was in Dallas last week. He was gloating about temps in the 30's and 40's when we had temps that were in the negatives before factoring in windchill. Good thing I could not get to him to ring his neck!

If you believe the Farmer's almanac, it says the first 10 days of Feb will be brutal, then we are in the clear till mid march..

My mom called from Florida Sunday & was rubbing it in that since it was 78°F she was headed to the beach. She didn't like what she got called for that one...lol

nice pictures everyone!

snow scenes and

dogs!

Here is what I am NOT looking forward to.................1/4 inch of ICE in addition to more snow.

"likely power outages" forecasted......

Okay when I have a snow day............at the very least I need electricity to I can get some work done ...........

UGH....................wish my computer battery lasted longer!

considering doing a late night tonite .............can sleep with no electricity no problem there!

We are in the .25" plus range too. We lost power this morning for 2.5 hours due to a tree down on wires. I'm sure that after the ice storm it will take much longer than that to restore power. So glad we have a whole house generator and a wood stove.

I cleared the snow off the netting on top of my runs yesterday. They were really weighted down. Thankfully I have extra heavy duty netting and it didn't tear.

Before ~

After ~

The snow is beautiful ~ just not looking forward to the ice!

The building in the picture is my greenhouse that DH built me. This is one of my coops ~ there is a smaller 8x8 coop to the left of this one. This one is split into 2 coops & a storage area inside and 2 runs outside.
