Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

We are in the .25" plus range too. We lost power this morning for 2.5 hours due to a tree down on wires. I'm sure that after the ice storm it will take much longer than that to restore power. So glad we have a whole house generator and a wood stove.

I cleared the snow off the netting on top of my runs yesterday. They were really weighted down. Thankfully I have extra heavy duty netting and it didn't tear.

The snow is beautiful ~ just not looking forward to the ice!
you have the heavy duty poultry netting? order online?

Hi all! Amidst this frigid winter we're having, I couldn't help but to set some eggs in the bator to try and hurry on spring. I really only have room for a few hens and would like to know if anyone is interested in my extra cream legbars and brown leghorns, especially the Roos. The BL's are destined for a great hatch and I really only need one or two, and the CLB eggs are so blue that I can't see what's going on in there but hoping for a few. Hatching over the next week. I can grow them out for a few weeks, if anyone is interested.

And does this work? Setting eggs hurries Spring?...I will do my part.

I'm sure you'll have no problem placing the CCLs, I know Stake's been after some pullets for quite some time.

Well, the flats of petunias sprouting next to the incubator sure makes me think spring. And there is nothing better than a bunch of little fuzzybutts to warm the heart!

Quote: I think I looked that up, you helped me with ideas for temp coverings with the npip crap and I think I saw that! my problem is I want something that looks good! I am so fussy over yard trash, but I have enough of it since the chickens came to town !! ha ha ha

I will look it up again but the run is in the woods and I dont want to cut more trees down.
