I am nervous and the guy isnt here yet!!! someone calm my nerves!! FAST!!! I have Operating Room Prepped and sterilized..... hens are waiting in a nice brown box lol..... Of course hubs chooses one splash and one blue brahma pullet in for the testing!! I am like... what if you kill one!!!

RELAX he says... I says "I am going on BYC to chill till he gets here"

You will be fine.... do you have raisins or peanuts around? If you are allowed to distract the bird it may help reduce the anxiety for everyone... Our bird would let us do about anything we want as long as we keep handing them a raisin or peanut! LOL

the hens are doing fine, brahma are totally chilled birds to begin with..... that was his reasoning for grabbing them instead of our mutt layers.... Chad says its hard to get a good draw on older hens, and he proved it last testing, I did a few birds and all oder mutt hens and I couldnt draw any lol..... you should see the instructions in the booklet.... laughable!! my biggest issue is using one hand to do the entire needle deal and draw the blood out with my RA... and the old hens are routy beasts who didnt know why on earth they were layed on their sides! they thought they were getting snacked and then boom down for the count.... talk about freaking!!! it took two people to hold and draw

If all else fails... just picture the tester in their underwear! Or heck, even your husband in his while he is trying to do the test!!!!

Potroast, porkchops, sausage & slow cooked chicken are converted into lots of different dishes around here.

and bacon... I gotta have my bacon!!

I totally cheat on the bacon & get precooked. I absolutely hate getting burnt by bacon grease & it never fails to happen. I have scars from cooking bacon!!!

I cant afford Veal therefor don't eat it so I guess I wouldnt miss it either. I survive on basic meats, besides good old fashioned scrapple, potwash n liver pudding. I know I know, I am so not a fancy chick or cook but I can make one heck of a apple pie ha ha ha
