Can someone help me please!!! I am stumped and very upset. The past 2 days ive lost 3 hens all the same way. Both mornings I have walked into the chicken coop and found my henss dead. Their vent was freakishly wide open and all their insides are gone. Their heads are still intact but there is no sign of
struggle or anything . Any insight or help would be greatly appreciated.
Tractor Supply in York now has chicks and ducklings in stock. They had red sex links, dark brahamas straight run and a bin of yellow chicks marked "Ameraucana pullets"I think they may be mis-marked.![]()
The ducklings were cute little brown ones with brown feet ~ no breed listed.
If the ducklings are uniform brown, they are khaki campbells, the best egg layers. Because they lay so well, the ducklings are fairly cheap to produce.
The yellow chicks *could* be real white ameracaunas, instead of the multi-colored "easter eggers" that you usually see. But that is a very long shot, much more likely to be leghorns or buff orpingtons. What color were their legs?
