I have a crossbow we could use to get it with.. None of the neighbours would know anything happened... lol

So, from what I have found out, looks like I am in the market for a new rooster. Seems as if my SS roo may be infertile or almost there ( he is over five years old now) Anyone have a young but mature rooster they want to get rid of? Lol

If you're willing to wait a couple months, I almost guarantee that one of mine will be a roo lol. That is if you're interested in an EE, Marans, or Wyandotte lol

Anyone make a cooler-bator out of a styrofoam incubator? I want to use all the parts from my styrofoam incubator but use a cooler for the body of it.

I have a ss chick in my basement that was hatched in January. Not sure if it's a roo or not. I had two, heard crowing, gave the one I thought was a roo (had a huge comb and bright red wattles though they were hatched at the same time in january) to a friend. Now I'm still hearing crowing xD Could be either the ee or the ss but I am waiting to see who *sighs*

can chickens eat beans???

I know weird question, but I can not find anything on the subject,,,,I am talking about those little bags of dried beans at the grocery store,,,,,co worker asked if I wanted a box of them because they have little bugs in them (I never knew beans would draw bugs)

They are in the process of cleaning out a home of a deceased relative and fouind a stockpile of food that has become buggy, they thought they would ask me if I wanted it before taking it to the dump, but I am cautious, since it sounds like mostly dried foods,,,they brought me in a bag of those dried split peas for soup and it has those little black bugs in it...

so can the birds eat this stuff???

Absolutely! Let them pick out the bugs, then throw it into your fermented feed. Or find a way to crush or grind them if they are too large and no longer sprout.
Soybeans are beans, and really not the best for consumption. "people" beans are better, but harder to grow in large quantities.
