Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

Exactly. I am in Chester County and go to every meeting! Love it. Can't wait for the show. Guys, we could REALLY use some help with raffle donations to raise money for the club at the show. This is our inaugural show and very first year as a club. We'd like to have some cool things on the raffle table. Keep in mind that the show isn't until Oct. 11th, so there is time. Is there anyone that would be willing to make a few feed bags into totes for the raffle table? I can donate thread and feed bags if need, just need your sewing skills as I am hopeless with a needle. We can that week, also take hatching eggs for a raffle item if anyone wants to donate. I am doing this. There will also be a Chinese Raffle at the show of breeding pairs. I am going to donate a pair to the auction, not sure what breed yet. This is a fall show, so at that point anyone looking to cut down on birds before winter, please consider donating a pair to the raffle. I will do any running around needed at that point to pick up birds/eggs/whatever. PLEASE help if you can, we want to make this a show to remember. Also, please come and just hang out and check out all the cool breeds of chickens. We'd love to have you. It should/could be a large show, maybe 1000-1200 birds if we are lucky. I believe the club president said this is going to be the ABA District Meet too. October 11th, Lebanon County Fairgrounds.

I would love to spare a few feed bag totes for the raffle! Let me know when you need donations by and I'll check with our York county group of keepers! ^^

Just candled my eggs..... still have 25 chicken eggs developing! I have four duck eggs in there doing great also! I am so glad I bought the fan assembly for my gator, it has helped so much in keeping the temps correct. :)

Yay! It was great meeting you yesterday!

I just candled! The embryos look like "put in water to grow" animals you buy at the dollar store! They've about tripled in size from yesterday! They were just doing somersaults in the eggs! There were two very dark, porous-ish eggs that I had. I marked them and a green egg with a penciled X 3 days ago because they were my undecided, wait-and-see eggs. The two dark ones both have big, healthy, kicking embryos inside! The green was clear.

I'm just so excited 14/15 eggs are viable.

*not counting my chickens before they hatch*

Sounds good! I'm tickled that so many are growing for you! Guess the fertility in our coop is pretty dependable right now.... good to know, since I have more broodies to go yet this spring.

Your fertility is VERY dependable I'd say! :)

Very exciting!!   Today is hatch day for us, I saw NOTHING at my candling before lock down and woke up to Olive Egger number 2! I am SOOOO pleased that this hatch did not produce a singleton...of course, it would have given me a reason to swing by TSC and by chicks....

There's always an excuse for more fuzzy butts!
