I was changing the paper towels in the turkey brooder this morning. I thought the boys would move out of the way, but I ended up covering them. It hit me just a minute ago that I was doing what my mother said I should. I was covering my food because I was not going to eat it right away.

I have a pekin duck that was in recovery at the time when I sold the rest of the pekin,,,not sure what I will do with her, she can not go back to the pen with the scovies, for I believe that is what injured her to begin with,,,,,,,anyone need a female pekin, if not she will most likely go to freezer

The duck eggs currently in the incubator.
3 1/2 dozen unknown breed from the auction
2 cayuga, to check fertility
2 ancona, to check fertility
On day 7 I will fill the rest of the bators with whatever chicken eggs I have.

Question: some of the eggs have a green tint to them. What breed could they be?

I'm looking for a bantam cochin hen. Show quality would be awesome but she doesn't have to be. If any of you have or know anyone with one, please PM me. Looking for one about a year old, already laying. If you have a hen that's annoyingly broody, I'll take her. I had big plans for my bantam cochin to raise me lots of babies this year, but she isn't here anymore. :(

Thanks in advance :)

I'm looking forward to finishing errands and getting home to do chores.

Need to get more betting up around the garden. Also keeping an eye out for fox. We lost a beautiful bird yesterday. My Bella (LGD was off the property and something ripped the head and neck off of our best Black Orp pullet. I really had high hopes for this girl and my daughter is pretty upset. I'm trying to be happy that it was just the one bird.
