Well, Gracie had her chicks... 5 little Easter Eggers compliments of eggs from MButerbaugh, who still has the EE rooster she got from us last year. We sold some of our bantam sized EEs a couple of months ago, and we did miss the green eggs, so when Gracie went broody I got in touch with MButerbaugh and went to visit and came home with some eggs for Gracie.













They hatched yesterday evening, though we aren't sure just when, since we found them dry and fluffy this morning... Mindy is a happy puppy!

Day 21 and 2 eggs hatched under my broodie. She is still sitting tight so hopefully a few more will hatch. One is a little chipmunk and the other is black with a white bib. Both clean yellow legs. Gotta love the mystery of the barnyard mix :) hoping for some silkie mix.
