Hubby has come to the other side,,,
Walked into tsc and headed straight to the feed since I have no chick feed, by the time I got to the chick area hubby had a big box packed and ready to go, I now have a basement brooder with 37 chicks, yes that was 37...I thought maybe he lost his mind, then he said "well they are unsexed, so in chicken math, half don't count.......
Not gonna argue with that

Told you they had a bunch!

The big guy did a chuckle when I said ray called and said you had a discount here.

Anyone have a lady friend for my call drake? There were no ladies around or I would have bought him one. This new BC pair is picking on him and I don't want him to be lonely...

I'm glad you had better luck at the swap than I did. Is that how most of them are? Maybe my expectations were too high. I thought there would be more chicks and a better variety. I saw a lot of cages, roosters, bunnies and some crappy knick knacks :( I did get 2 polish chicks and a Cochin. I was hoping to get a few silkies, serema and maybe a frizzle if I got lucky. I thought since it was spring here would be baby chicks everywhere. Oh well. It was an experience and I did get 3 baby chicks to love on.

Charging phone now, only camera I got..
We went for some red production pullets, but they had a bin of white Plymouth rocks (same egg color)..they were marked down to .99 a piece..hubby offered .60 a piece, the manager said only if you take them all,,,,so the deal was made.....meat and eggs in one package.

The captain must now leave my house,,, remember the no new breeds,,,,,,,,well I just bought 12 midget white Turkey eggs,,,,, I knew plugging that incubator in was a bad idea

I think that is what I bought anyway

Cc we gonna swap some turkey poults when all this hatches

Are you saying you got all chicks? Most swaps are like that, but I honestly imagined it to be more organized and more selection also. I was very happy about all the bantam cochins there, that's exactly what I was looking for. I saw a black silkie pair for $40 and a huge cage packed with silkie roos of all colors.

My sister got the most adorable mottled bantam cochin pullet, but after we got it and were buying my pair, the guy selling them said that the roo in the same cage with her was sick. So we went back and sure enough he was sick. So we got our money back. Such a shame. She was darling, and my sister had already named her.
