Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

Checked on the garden and hubby just can not scale back, he plants as if we are still feeding growing kids, so much excess every year....I am on a mission to use the green beans this year and make some leather britches, can anyone shed some light on this subject,,,,,can they hang in the barn rafters...

No, not the kind you wear...

If nothing else they will make cool decorations.

what types of trees? :D  ...ahhh,.. your not that busy..you'll have those in the ground in no-time:smack

White oak, sugar maple, highbush cranberry, northern bayberry, snowberry, crabapple, all for wildlife, and hybrid poplar as screen/ fast cover/ lousy firewood. Oh, and elderberry.

I know, I'll be dead before the oak and maple are nice. It's called caring for the land for the next generation, whoever they may be.

Completely awesome.

Sharron, yes! I should post a pic of the baby with a Pepsi can!

EDA: brb googling leather britches...

well, if you are ever in the area or "close by"..I am sure I will always have extra around here the way this buch sends out volunteers! ....Also have the option of "if it fits, it ships"...;) hahahaha...

lol, thanks for the offer :) Hubby would kill me if I brought home another lilac. He's not a fan of them so I'm lucky to be keeping the one I have lol.

oh man...there is a little cell heading towards us, looks kinda ugly too:oops: ...

speaking of which, did anyone else get a massive storm last night? It hit us around 2 am and was so bad that the lightning was blinding, the Thunder was instantaneous, and it shook the whole house every time. We had one kid in bed with us for at least a half hour lol. I love a good storm but even that one was a bit scary lol

Let the girls out for a little yard time..they enjoyed it until I went in the house for 1 minute, Hubby was outside..supposed to be watching chickens...and I come out to seeing Ginger in the garden scratching at my newly sprouted leaf lettuce seeds!!

if it wasn't for these mountains, we would be in BIG trouble right now...I use the WNEP Interactive radar....these little "Popcorn " storms are all around us now. The one above our area looks very interesting..there is a greenish glow over the mountain...

..not that I want anyone to have to deal with that, but I hope it stays over there...sorry..

Cool, it can come here lol. To me, there's nothing more soothing and comforting than a really good storm. Sounds kinda backwards but I've always been that way lol. I do love that the mountains protect us do much from things like tornados. We've be in deep trouble if that happened at our house. We don't have a basement :/
