Was someone on here looking for BUCKEYES? PM me if you can take them within the next week, Barto, Montgomery County. I know someone who has a cockerel and several hens (8?) One year old, 4H project.

Who is going to the swap at the York TSC, I do not know your Facebook names, so I am confused.

Fisherlady, someone is advertising that they will be taking 10 leghorns that are 16 weeks old.

Anyone know any tricks for getting rid of mosquitoes? I would love to sit and watch my chickens play but we have swarms of mosquitoes just hanging out waiting to eat me! I'm afraid to use any chemicals because I do let the girls out to peck and play in the backyard when I'm home to supervise.

You can plant geraniums that smell like citronella. I put them in hanging baskets and keep one or two over winter

Thanks! That is exactly the kind of information I'm looking for! Safe natural ways to get rid of the little blood suckers! I'm also going to try planting catnip around, I understand that is a good repellent also.

Anyone else have any thoughts?

I don't know where you're located but Leity's (sp?) Farm market in Newry had a couple big ones left the other day when we were there.
