Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

I save my dinner bones and leftover meat in the freezer until I have enough for the large stock pot. Cover with water and simmer it for 30-45 minutes; then I will add the veggies and season and summer another 20 or so minutes. Then they get canned (shout out for tattler reusable lids!).
I have recently begun making meal for my dog - I put the bones and veggies in the crockpot, cover with water and set to low or warm for a day. Once the bones are soft I blend everything in my (shoutout) blendtec. divide in muffin tins and freeze, once frozen I remove the portions to a plastic container kept in the freezer.
All easy peasy, cheap and delicious

I would love to invest in those "tattler" lids!! can not beat reusable! Did you pressure can your soup or water bath?....thinking pressure canner..
Pinterest is my best friend for finding affordable gift ideas! I recently saw a pin that was a mason jar full of date night ideas (and some included gift cards for a couple of the dates) cute and cheap

how did the berries do this year?
They are growing wonderfully!!
No berries on the raspberries, but that is okay. The winter hit them hard back were they were, not enough sun there..but now..Wowsers!!
The black berry did awesome, lots of berries..so good!! We bought a bunch more to go with them.
Finally got the fencing up to trellis them all....
going to be moving the blueberries next year, not enough room for them with all those vines around, so we will be planting them between the fruit trees...got a lot of blueberries too for the first year!..
here is what we did...well, the daughter dug the post holes...payment for watching Katherine unscheduled
wink.png
..hahahaha
From right to left..blueberries, raspberries, blackberries...the sun hits that area 80%+ of the day..they will/are doing very well!
Made an all natural "bug" spray this year..it has worked great..the only negative about it is you do have to reapply more often, but boy it sure is nice to just be able to "pick & eat"!!

i have no idea how our berries did, didn't pay attention, only the granddaughter goes out with a bowl and picks them. had lots of blueberries tho, helped bill net them, what a pain, but its better than the birds eating them all. bill loves the blueberries so he picks and i do the cobbler lol

I'm in love with your yard / garden set up! I'm not a good gardener, unless it is a rock garden that is!
Some year I will do more than the basics but I trade off garden work for fishing in the summer and I'm not going to give up the walleye fishing any time soon!
