Funnier mental picture. I was trying to get DH to let me have a chicken in the truck for fresh eggs, and for meat in a few weeks/months. For some reason, he didn't go for it.

I think you can hide a silkie in the truck and he will never know

Question for the group:

Do quail eggs taste the same as chicken eggs................just smaller?

I think so, just much smaller. My dad raises quail and I have about 10 dozen eggs in my fridge now from our visit this week! If anyone is close to where I'm at, I will gladly give you a dozen. We like to hard boil them and throw them in with red beets. They pickle all the way thru!

Whatever was his reasoning! ;)

You guys are terrible, that's how I ended up with 11 chickens in a little over a year

Until she lays her first egg and starts singing. Unless you can make that noise on a regular basis to get him used to it . . .

Lol!

The truck is so noisy, he would never hear it. Hmmm...  I think I have a diaper to sew.

I have a young Silkie for you!

We are quite a distance from you. I am in 17967. We travel a bit and are discussing a trip down towards Maryland and Virginia before Thanksgiving. If we are going to be close to your zip during our travels maybe we can arrange a drop off!

My dad is sometimes getting 2-3 dozen quail eggs a day, so we have no shortage. We visit them at least once a week and he always sends us home with a couple dozen!
