What should I make for dinner tonight? This is my kitchen today....

I'm making eggs and toast and sausage on my electric skillet in the living room, I think.

To keep things chicken related, my girls were dust bathing today in the garden, which was quite moist still. Yeesh, you'd think they'd be so cold!
breakfast anytime..anywhere is always a winner!!
Yeah..not so much a "dust" bath..more like a "damp-soil" shower...

..mine do the same thing...yucky...
Good luck with your renovations!! They are a bit inconvenient anytime.
Just candles 3 of my eggs that were under my broody girl. They all look like winners so far! I can't wait!!!

Yay!

Tonight I got startled when taking care of my girls. Went down after the sun went down to lock up my girls and gather up any eggs from the boxes. As I am walking in the dark down the hill I see a light parallel to my septic mound, looked like it was a few feet from my mound, that would be on my property. I think someone was spot lighting back there. I shined my flash light (almost dead) and the light turned off really quickly. I was scared, didn't know what to do, Did my rounds and grabbed my cat and ran up the hill to my house. Told my hubby and tomorrow he will be going out with me!

Wow that would be scary!!!! I once put the dog out and had a gun because I thought the light from my house reflecting off my rabbit hutch was an intruder..... I felt stupid when I figured out what it was.

Oh, do you have a creepy neighbor or anything. My neighbor up the road tied his wife to a tree for 2 days because she was "annoying" him. He went to jail and rehab and is now out but I still dont trust him. I am guessing by your profile pic you have at least one rotweiler, I would feel very protected with those dogs. I have a red lab. I am sure she would protect us but she is only 75lbs.
My dogs were in the yard (fenced in area for my dogs) and they were barking like crazy!

I don't think I have creepy neighbors but how much do you really know someone? I see the news and the neighbors always say he was such a nice person, I don't know why he killed all those people. I have a road behind my house and I don't know any of those neighbors. Right behind my house is empty lots ( supposed to belong to a resort that is now abandoned. I have 2 rotties, love them to pieces. I think if it was someone looking for a pet they would have yelled out if I seen the pet, instead they turned off the light and tried to disappear, they were up to no good

I try to be very aware of my surroundings because of bear and mountain lions around me, don't want to surprise a wild animal.

The Florida panther (a subspecies of the mountain lion) is probably extinct, but the (northern) eastern subspecies still exists, mostly in the north. The same dynamics of prey (deer, mostly) that are making coyotes more common on the east coast are helping the eastern mountain lion extend its range.

I feel for the people who have them visiting their backyard and would not welcome them to our area, but it's kind of nice to know they are still around. I suppose the same applies to coyotes and raptors, but I wish they would all stay away from our birds. They can eat a lot of deer instead, maybe.
