It looks like Fria is healthy again and ready to go back out to the coop tomorrow. She's been inside for a though. Things have changed since she's been out. Her mama has only had 2 to look after and has moved then up to the roost at night. I'm nor sure if she'll welcome Fria back or not remember her. I'm also concerned about sending her back out into the cold. Any advice on this or am I overly concerned?

Take her out in the morning, but stay with her if possible and watch how she interacts with the others very closely. There may be a little hazing to re-establish her position in the pecking order, which will probably be pretty low, but that is to be expected. Watch her for signs of stress though, in particular her wanting to be alone and fluffing up. Check her later in the afternoon to see if she has a spot on the roost near the other birds, if she is still on the floor, or is not near anyone else you will probably have to bring her back into a more protected/warm area for the night.
It may be a quick integration or it may take a few days to get her back into the flock, it depends on how accepting they are of new arrivals. It will be a real toss up as far as her mama recognizing her again... it would be great if she does, but a big if after a week or so away.

Cool! I can swap you eggs or soap/bath salts for them if you like.

Gotta get some hatched first, and I've got some previous orders already for poults and eggs.

No problem. I don't even have a bator fired up right now. My turkeys aren't laying yet. I can wait.

You got pure Lavendar Ams out of that extra roo we had? Good for you if you did. The one I kept mysteriously died, but his genes live on in the next generation.
I think Lavender is a gorgeous color. I wish I had more room/pens to work with all the pretty colors.

We are off to the Farm Show in a few hours. Very exciting for everyone. I think everyone from my (extended) family who goes likes "Farm Show day" better than Christmas. Even my son-in-law is taking a day off work and driving 2 hours each way with 3 small kids in the car.

Sounds like the first thing you need to do is fire up your incubator  Last night I put the following in the incubator, best as I remember: 50+ Rhodebars 30+ Welsummers 10 CCL's 10 Midget White turkeys (not sure about fertility, but I have to try) 13 blue egg laying black sex links (Ameracauna roo over Barred Holland hens) Still dodging the "do you have room for all those chicks?" questions with the statement that I plan to sell most of them. I will make an extra special deal for my friends here . . .
Excellent avoidance if I've ever heard it! :lau
H: Talk to Troyer about his cubalayas....he's posted a bunch of pics of some really outstanding Roos and I think Anneintheburbs has fired up the bater for a batch of these too.....
*Correction, fired up my Broody!
I was playing around with a new scent today. I figured I'd share the bright colors to help break up any winter blues that are starting to form!
Beautiful!

Awesome eggs! And the chicks are so cute! :love. Thank you again for the fertile eggs. Having the chicks has really brightened my spirits when I've needed it. :jumpy

Getting worried....has anyone heard from CC, his profile says he has not been on here in 3 days...
Would it be rude to just pop in at his house.
