Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

Looks like a great way to start.

It's good you said you think you're good. People here will try to talk you in to goats rabbits emu turkey quail. Just to help you fill that empty space, lol.

Oh, now....I said we are good on space....meaning for all the animals yet to come, lol! Goats, pigs, and a couple calfs will all be coming next year after repairs to the barn are made. I never meant we'd be stopping at just chickens, lol No point in buying a farm if we weren't planning on farming and I am an 'all in' kinda gal ;)

ISO..

Eggs or chicks..

Pilgrim geese

Muscovy

Guinea

Chukar

Pheasant

Patiently waiting for spring, just need to put together a list of what is coming and what I still need to search for....

Wing:

I am trying to arrange some dorkings, (don't even know what colors might be available)...if I find them would you want some???

I am in the process of changing over the layer pen to strictly Plymouth rock( I believe it is 8 different color variety). . Time for me to settle down and concentrate on specifics
Layers... Plymouth rock
Ducks... Muscovy
Turkey....????
Quail...???? Want to give chukar a try

See if you feel that way when you are surrounded by 73 chickens, 8 ducks, and a goat with only a coop built for ten. :-D

Haha, I don't think we'll have too much of a problem with that...the chicken house (red shed) would hold about 40 on its own, then there is the coop attached to the barn which has 17 nesting boxes in it....the barn has 7 stalls....I think we're good, lol.

Cool! I'll have your goats ready mid-August.

Nevermind, you're good. For this year at least....

I have seen a couple people on her that have goats...... not sure who but was wondering(having seen the above pic) does anyone have dwarf or pygmy Nubian, whatever the proper term for the small ones, and will you have any available soon or no of someone who will. we were hoping to get a couple doe's in the spring but have had little luck with finding any in the area. we are in York.

It is hard to get pics of the different feathers, but here is a close up of the hedemora feathers, kind of like a silkie but more layered.
Definitely odd looking. I wonder if all that "fur" works against them in the summer heat.
We shall see... On a side note, what do you think of this cheaply made greenhouse, I actually have a lot of this material laying around..wouldn't things still freeze overnight http://www.shtfpreparedness.com/13-cheap-diy-greenhouse-project-plans/
