Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

Just need to vent. Neighbor's dog came in our yard for the 2nd time and we have one dead chicken and one missing.  I just raised them since chicks and it is very upsetting.  Not even sure what to say to the neighbor.

I'm so sorry. I think Fisherlady gave you the best advice. :hugs

Poo! That's only 20 minutes from me but I am not ready to build yet and I hav nowhere to store it. Someone is going to get a great deal.

I put 13 eggs in lockdown this morning and a couple of them are already rocking like crazy!

Sounds like a good sign! :thumbsup

Anyone else this morning with eggs like this?

Nice. What do you do with them?
we are contracted with lancaster leaf, just signed the contract yesterday for what will be planted this spring...
we have a guaranteed buyer, but we get the price of the contract no matter if it goes up or down on the market..

....and it is a lot of work, no machines for this crop

If you can ship I'm interested. PM me with prices please.

Is there any kind of fun family activities out your way that would give us another reason to drive an hour into Ohio? I did ask Hubbs about turkeys and he said yes, I'm going to be going east next weekend for my niece's birthday. I'd be happy to bring some birds for you, but I don't want to make my kids sit in the car for an hour without some fun activity on the other end of the trip, you know?

Chicadoodle, I am interested in some poults, but we've never had any before... Can we keep them with our chickens? Do they need their own coop?should they be kept inside in a brooder for awhile first? How long? Hubbs is not a fan of inside birds.
