Anyone else this morning with eggs like this?
Ha! We've been getting a lot of frozen eggs... They freeze to the point of cracking then we let them thaw and cook them up for the dog. It's weird thou, even after they thaw when I brek them open the yolk is solid, I literally have to cut it/mash it up to scamble it up. Anyone know why that is?

I didn't think about feeding them to the dog. If we can't eat them, that would at least be one less egg every day that comes from our human stash, lol.

I just store them in the fridge and feed them to the dog raw, shell and all.

When I was young we always bought cracked eggs from the local farms for our own use. As long as the weren't leakers, and we all lived. I would thaw and eat the frozen ones myself if I needed to, cooked well, of course.

Then again there are a lot of things I eat others might not.

You know, I doubt it'd hurt us either. I think it's something your body has to build up to, but my family has iron guts because we aren't picky. I just wasn't sure with eggs because of the potential poop and that's one thing that does skeeve me out because of potential parasites, lol. Hard cooked though, I don't see why not.

To followup on frozen eggs, I tried to hard boil two to see if they were edible...they didn't smell 'rotten' but, they definitively had a different smell than the other eggs...I think dog/chook food is their calling.....

Sorry about Spock...(both of them)....

got home from work today and found two feather piles on the snow....one was from my junior roo and the other was my lone surviving Orp,,,,,did a quick head count and everyone was there and there were no bite/scratch marks on either bird....guess they got lucky....most likely a fox....wonder what scared him off....I think I need to rent a Bella.....
