It was me who picked up your 4 poults yesterday. After I posted here I figured you'd probably see a message on facebook sooner, so messaged you there too. They are doing well... one of the one week old ones was looking a little lethargic this morning but seems to be doing better now. I put a little Sav-A-Chick in their water and found that they would only eat the food if I scattered it on the floor, they wouldn't eat out of the dish (they just wanted to stand/sleep in it - but got so excited when I sprinkled some food on the floor). I have them in a bigger box upstairs so that I could watch them for awhile before taking them to the bigger brooder downstairs where they will be mostly unattended. Our 25 meat chickens (Cornish roasters, Delaware, and Dark Cornish) will be joining them next week.
 
glad they made it home safe! Hope they all do well for you! Be careful with smaller boxes as brooders as they can change temp really easily! WE had the older poults picked up today, and the newest hatch goes home tonight- It will seem quiet here for another week before it starts all over again!

Hello. I am new to the group and live outside of Claysville. Admin sent me to this thread from Introductions. I am hoping to meet other people in the area who raise bantam breeds, mainly silky. I had several types of chickens, mostly rare breeds, silkies, guinea fowl, button quail, and some muskovy ducks back on my farm in VA years ago. Now I am looking to get back into bantams on my new farm.
