So I can reaaally keep setting new eggs until the oldest eggs are on Day 6?

I set staggered any time I have space & eggs to fill it. I just leave humidity low until I see a pip, raise during actual hatch & drop again as soon as hatch completes. I keep turning everything not in lockdown until I see a pip.

Oh wow, well that just takes the whole hatching game to the next level...

Hey folks: my last hatch has been a bit unusual...first chick at day22......three more over days 23 and 24....and on day 25 another.....when I thought I was done at the end of day 25 heard some chirps...no pipping....then about an hour later one pip...I decided to break her out ...she is still in the incubator...so far it will be x2 Olive eggers, x2 F2 Olive Eggers, one that may be a CCL/GLW, or a CCL/RB and if the last girl makes it a CCL...does any body else have these long hatch times?

Hey guys, I am wondering how you all do the staggered hatching.  I am getting eggs on Thurs.  I am supposed to be getting others on Friday.   However, I haven't gotten confirmation, so I'm not sure exactly when.  If they are more than a few days apart on arrival,  I am trying to figure out the best approach.  I am considering a second, inexpensive incubator for just hatching.  I'm thinking Farm Innovator air?  Little Giant with air?... I am open to suggestions.
Thank you.

Just picked up an LG still air for hatching. New ones are digital. Old ones were very finicky to set temps. $40 at TSC

Lots of them. My quail hatched over 7 days. Seems to be a weird hatching year. I'm thinking the temps through March had a lot to do with it.

A homemade "coolerbator" is ideal for a hatcher. The big drawback for them is that it's hard to fit an automatic turner inside, but not a problem for hatching. One HUGE advantage is that when you open the top, all the humid air does not dump onto the floor like both styrobators and cabinet incubators. This work especially well if you have a sliding glass top set down into the cooler, so you can lift the lid anytime without losing the warm moist air, and slid the top just a little to reach if as needed.

With the sliding top removed:

Sliding top in place:
