Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

Thanks guys, but I'm pretty sure it's not wry neck. The pullet is not a chick, and I believe wry neck only affects chicks. She said she can't get any vitamins into the bird, it is fighting her to even take a few drops of water. I'm trying to get her to take some video so I can see for myself.
Glad to hear Clover is doing well! Will the other kits out grow him/her?

Lost another of my older chicks today to the stupid cat wandering my property.

. Anyone have a BB gun? I don't even know who owns it. I think I will keep the broody Mama and her chicks penned up tomorrow while I am at work.

Welcome!
We all wants more critters.

I don't think a bell would help the little chicks unfortunately. I am hoping my neighbor talking to her telling her cat is killing my chicks is enough.

It's going to be a beautiful weekend! Is anyone else entertaining? I had to check with my guests to make sure no one would be creeped out by the girls running around the yard all afternoon.

Ann:

Just tell her there's a fox killing cats in the neighborhood and she'd be wise to keep her's inside.....my two cents.....

I'm in the Lehigh Valley.
We have 2 Welsummers, 2 Rhodebars & 1 Buff Orpington.... she lost her sister to a predator :(

Welcome! Sorry about your Orp. Predators are SUCH a bummer.

I've lost 2 toulbants to a hawk this week. I have to keep them fenced i need my LGD on the outside of the fence to watch goat kids... Maybe it's time to get another LGD... Not sure I want to train a puppy.

That's a very good idea! Thanks!

Blarney, still loving all those gorgeous goat pictures! When I had my birthday this week, one c are had chickens on it, and the other had goats. I have a reputation! Will post pics later if I remember.

Baby bird flew away today. It's quite the bittersweet moment. I'm hoping she's ready for this. I know I'm not lol. I know where she is though. She's in a pine tree beside the driveway and when I call her she answers me lol. I'm kinda hoping that she flies back down to me but at the same time, I hope she's prepared and ready to hunt for herself.

Actually, she was talking to me all day when I'd call her and this evening, she flew down to me. She was STARVING! She's back in the house tonight with a nice full crop of worms lol. She'll sleep good tonight's after a day of flying around the trees lol.
