I don't make wine, (if I had grapes I prob. would lol) but here's a link to Mother Earth News that looks informative:

tons of info out there on the interwebby! :) Good Luck!!!

thanks, my mil planted the grapes over 45 years ago, she always used them for pies and juice but i never bothered to watch her, my mistake since i hate to see them go to waste and picking some this morning, hubby said wine even tho we don't drink lol

Anyone use a standard aluminum rain gutter for a feeding trough? I have an old one that could be mounted in the run. Any reason why it is not a good idea?

I don't see a problem with it.....as long as it's not been painted and you have paint peels coming off of it....good reuse of old materials...

Hey, as long as it's good and it's something you enjoy doing...you can always give the wine away to folks that do (and that would be me! lol) ...do you do any canning? You could make jellies or jams?

As long as you aren't fermenting your feed, go for it. Can't use metal with fermented feed. It oxidizes the metal.

Anyone hear from wingstone lately?  sent her a pm but no reply... not sure if it's lack of time from new job, lack of internet access or maybe it didn't go through. Hope all is ok with her.

She was on facebook over the weekend. I'll look & see if she's been on yesterday or today yet.

Yup, wing is fine. Tired, but fine. She worked 14 days straight, butchered ducks Sat on her day off & her last facebook post was just before 8pm last night. She's just been super busy & exhausted.

Thanks for checking for me... I know she's been working a lot and since I don't do fb I'm not in the loop as much.

Yep, she posts over there almost daily & "likes" my posts in between...lol Lots of pix of food & the grandbaby.
