I agree, if they can't quote the exact ruling they can certainly refer you to a source for accurate information . you could also go straight to your local boro or township office and speak to the secretary, they can also assist.
That's what I did: went to the township office and ask. They said that I can have any kind of livestock and as many as I want. DH definitely didn't like that answer.

Okay, so pretty sure she has Blackhead. She is lethargic, not eating, yellowish runny poop, and she just made this big nasty cheese like poop. I brought her in the house, and she is not moving much in the crate at all. Not showing any interest in food, but she wa drinking this morning.

I agree on the blackhead, from what I have read, but no firsthand knowledge ...
You probably already found this thread , but just in case... check this out for a great discussion on causes and cures....

Hey guys, just wanted to pop in. I'm playing hooky today, and should be cleaning my room right now.

I lost one of my favorites to a hawk last week. My mommy chicken Penelope that was happy to raise anything you gave her. She raised a duckling for me this fall.

If I don't talk to you guys, have a great Thanksgiving!

I need some wisdom from my pennsylvania peeps. I have an 8 month old bantam mottled cochin that I swear is broody. She is flat as a pancake on the nest and has picked the feathers on her chest and belly out. She often returns to the nest if I take her out. Is this possible this early? Advice on breaking her.

I think that's the poop page you mean. That wierd poop almost looks like a deflated egg :/

Thanks everybody, I found a fish store about a half hour away that has mitradiazolone, so I might pick some up today. She's one of my favorite broodys, and I'd love to help her. She made a fairly normal poop and started to pick through her food a but, so I figure she's not quitting yet...

Bantam cochins can absolutely go broody at that age. And once mine started, they spent more than 50% of their time being broody. The silkies are even more so, but I've seen both sit on nothing for several months at a time. I wouldn't bother trying to break her, just let her be. Of get some fertile eggs for her to hatch.
