Has anyone ever found a chicken in their shed? I opened up my shed yesterday late morning and Rhodebar ran out. That little bugger must have snuck in there in the morning and gotten locked in. Silly girl!

I have found them in sheds, carport and even the house! Nosy critters sneak in any open door they find, and my hens have figured out the dog door...

So, I decided to go try out a different feed store the other day since I was out (and too broke to go get a big order of the good stuff) and the guy there really made me kinda angry. I feed all my birds the same, roughly 22% starter. Whether they're turkeys, chickens, chicks, or poults. He was telling me that there is no feed that I can feed to the entire flock safely and that I should be feeding at least 2, probably 3 different feeds. On top of that, he tried shooting me down for fermenting my feed saying that I'm going to get nasty bacteria in it and the only reason to ferment grains is to make alcohol. SMH. I was not happy when I left that place and the guy was SO certain that I had no clue what I was doing and that he knew everything. Drives me nuts. Especially when people don't want to hear anything about it. Sorry, needed to vent a bit.

Gosh! Was it Tyrone Milling? They are like that. Come to think of it, a lot of places are. Sometimes it is so awesome knowing we are correct. We don't have to care what they say. We are right, and we pity the newbie that listens to the idiots! It begs the question, what ever happened to courtesy and the customer is always right?
Thank you for not telling Whites where I was!

It was Cresson feed mill. I guess I expected them to have a little bit more knowledge than that. It was really dissappointing!

Lol, I think Whites was worried about where HE was! He got himself back an old farm tail and stuck on the wrong side of a locked gate to the wind farm lol.

LOL!
Yeah, that one is tricky. I have gone to that feed store a few times. They do have their way of what's right or wrong. I did ignore them for the most part, and demanded to get what I was asking for at one point. Not as forceful as they were being, but I was tired of looking for the right thing for the right price. They had what I needed, and I was going to get it!

They are due the 12th. I have some time to figure out what to do with everyone. I wasn't expecting more than a few to get this far. This incubator isn't known for great hatches! I am kinda looking forward to the meat, but we will see what happens. I might get all girls like I used to!
